A residential lane put up a sign in four languages. I was one of the people it was written for.
The opening describes the sign before it describes the reaction to it, because the sign is the better piece of writing and deserves to arrive uninterrupted.

What a restriction is actually for
The structural half. A residential restriction is rarely about the individual visitor and almost always about volume, timing and the absence of any mechanism to manage either.
